Clear Business Outcome are an Epicor ERP consultancy with some serious credentials in the space. Founder Damien Sullivan was Epicor’s Vice President for Consultancy in Europe, Middle East and Africa for 16 years. After starting Clear Business Outcome in 2010, he built an experienced team around him of Epicor alumni and ERP experts. CBO focus on helping their customers get real, tangible outcomes from ERP usage and business process optimisation. Their focus on results and emphasis on nurturing their team made them the perfect fit to work with Inflowing.
Damien approached Inflowing as a foray into inbound marketing a few years previous had run out of steam. He wanted us to help kick start marketing again to aid the sales effort in bringing in more Epicor users looking for consultancy and support, as well organisations looking to deploy an ERP system. We were all keen to continue exploring inbound as the strategy for delivering more leads into the business, feeling that CBO’s pedigree and expertise in the industry would help us produce some great content and deliver more leads into the business.
We designed a comprehensive package for CBO that would give them all the benefits of full in-house marketing team. We decided first that it would be beneficial to build and deploy a new website which would be the driver and hub of the whole strategy. We would then execute regular activity, including:
- Blog posts
- Conversion content
- Social media
- Customer case studies
- Graphic design
- Support on events and wider business activities.
Our first step was to work with Damien to understand priorities and how we should structure the new site to provide the best experience to the user and the best representation of the business. We also spent time together nailing down who we wanted to bring to the website – i.e. personas. Using Damien’s invaluable insight we conducted keyword research and analysis around their core business services and the ERP niche, in order to develop two distinct funnels, complete with awareness blog content and conversion content, driving to the goal of booking an initial meeting.

Since the launch of the new site and marketing strategy, Clear Business Outcome have seen a 72% increase in traffic from organic search year-on-year. Engagement on the website has also greatly improved, with bounce rate dropping by 12%, and average session duration increasing by a whopping 142%. With weekly inbound leads coming through the website now a reality, and a strong foundation of activity in place, CBO are primed to grow their subscriber list and drive more conversions in the next 12 months and beyond.
We also helped them promote and execute a successful roundtable event, which saw some big names in Northeast manufacturing come together to discuss the future of the industry. The success of this event has led to plans for more in the near future, aiming to both focus in on some more specific challenges within the industry as well as broadening out to other regions.
